Signup for Picture This, Imagine That - Read!
How do I sign up?
To join the 2003 Summer Reading Program Picture, This Imagine That,
Read! just come in to your local branch library and tell the librarian
that you'd like to sign up. It's that simple. Registration begins June
16th and the program runs until August 30th, 2003 and takes place in
public libraries in the Bronx, Manhattan, and Staten Island.
How does it work?
When you sign up we will give you a "Reading
Log" to keep track of the books you have read, and at the end
of the summer you will be awarded a certificate of achievement. Choose
from the dozens of wonderful books listed on this site, or ask us for
other suggestions.
What else?
Call your local library to find out about special programs and events.
During the summer we sponsor writing workshops for teens, visits by
authors, craft activities, daily read-aloud hours, and more. Here's
a calendar that lists some of our events.
I'm new here...
Don't worry. If you don't have a library card let us know and we will
sign you up for one. Like everything at the library, it's free! Find
your closest library by clicking on your borough: the
Bronx, Manhattan,
Staten Island.
A note to parents
Children who are too young to read for themselves are welcome to sign
up and have family and/or friends read aloud to them.
Picture This, Imagine That -
