The list of recommended Summer Reading titles serves as a guide. Look for other titles by these authors as well as books recommended by your librarian.
The 2004 New York City Summer Reading Program is jointly sponsored by:

Support for the Summer Reading Program has been provided, in part,
by generous grants from the Hillandale Group of the Sulzberger Foundation
and The Wallace Foundation. Radio Disney has agreed to provide the
Young Adult portion of the Summer Reading Program with free gifts
to distribute to participants, as well as a select number of larger
gifts that young adult participants will be eligible to receive.
The New York Post will once again support Summer Reading as the lead
media sponsor, providing free space to promote Summer Reading 2004.
The New York Mets, in partnership with KeySpan Energy, support the
Summer Reading Program throughout New York City's public libraries.
